Dream

Dream
 
    He couldn't believe this! How did this all happen? One moment he's going to meet his love then she wishes his death. The next moment he goes to take the jewel for himself and there he was now. The one thing most important to him, out of his grasps. All because of an arrow. An arrow shot by the woman whom he thought he loved. Then when he thought all things had gone wrong, he blacked out.

    Soon when he opened his eyes there, his love, stood once more, but she seemed different then before. She was weak. Her clothing, her scent. She was not his beloved. Her name was Kagome, and that one name would stay with him forever.

    He suddenly now found himself on something very comfortable. He looked up into her beautiful brown eyes. Tonight was the new moon. His weakest state and instead of her abandoning him she stayed with him. She had even cried for him.

    Then everything changed. She was no longer holdong him. He was holding her. He was sad. Why? It was because she had died.

    That's what he thought, until the girl moved and looked up at him with those gorgeous chocolate eyes. He had come to love the eyes. She smiled. She said his name, she even apologized for worrying him. Why should she even be apologizing? That was the first time he had actually cried for someone else other then his mother.

    The scenery had now changed and he was in total darkness. He held his sword as he killed every demon in sight. He had to get to her. He just had to! To him he knew that all of this was meant to be. The two were meant to meet. They were meant to be together. She was born for him, and he was born for her. He called out her name over and over, until she responded.

    Just the sound of her voice told him that everything would be okay. Then, like a miracle, the darkness opened and there revealed Kagome.

    He wanted to hold her, and so he did. His lips found hers and that's when he was certain that they would live together forever, but sadly destiny changed it's course.

    The two returned to her time, where she was met by her family. There he realized that he was not the only one that cherished her presence, and so he would let her live a normal life. Besides, who could ever love a half-demon? The last he heard before going back down the well was his beloved screaming his name.

    Inuyasha's eyes snapped open. He looked around the hut from where he lay on a futon. 'Was that a dream?' he wondered to himself. His golden eyes now wondered down to the young woman who slept next to him. The silver ring on her finger sparkling in the light.

    He smiled down at her.

    She was so beautiful.

    She was there.

    She was his.

    Her lovable brown eyes opened slowly as she looked up lovingly at her husband.

    "Good morning," she smiled happily.

    Inuyasha  replied with the same greeting and a warm smile.

    He may not be certain why he would have such a dream like that now, but there was one thing he was certain of.

    That "this" was no dream.
